50 years ago today Hey Jude was recorded by The Beatles at Trident Studios in Soho, London the world’s first 8 track recording studio.  It was released in the USA a few weeks later on August 26th  where it hit the number one spot in the charts and stayed there for nine straight weeks!

To recognise this amazing landmark song we are challenging YOU our wonderful artists to recreate HeyJude on Trident Studio’s 8 track of the 21st century Trackd!   We want to include all of you on this project so this is how you can get involved:

1. Install Trackd in your phone click here.

2. Download the Hey Jude 50 stem straight from the Trackd roller deck here.

3. Add your instrument part or vocal

4. Send the audio back to Georgia and, this is really important!

5. To make doubly sure we get it – email the part directly to our King of A&R and grant@trackdmusic.com

6. Film yourself recording the part on to Trackd wherever you  are in the world (the crazier the better!) and send it in to Grant on the same email address grant@trackdmusic.com). We will compile the videos together in a video we can all share with the world!

The song is going to be released on August 26th (50 years to the day Hey Jude was released) across all major streaming services including major stores Apple Music and Spotify as well as of course Trackd!

Here are the Lyrics!

Hey Jude, don’t make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

Hey Jude, don’t be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better

And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain
Don’t carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it’s a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder

Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah

Hey Jude, don’t let me down
You have found her, now go and get her
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

So let it out and let it in, hey Jude, begin
You’re waiting for someone to perform with
And don’t you know that it’s just you, hey Jude, you’ll do
The movement you need is on your shoulder

Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah yeah
