In March this year, Trackd took over the British Music Embassy at Latitude 30 in Austin, Texas, for South By Southwest 2017 for an evening of live music from four of the hottest up-and-coming British talent – Be Charlotte, Flamingods, Elle Exxe and SYKES.
Fresh from performing at SXSW, feisty, fabulous electro-clash heroine Elle Exxe unleashed her much-anticipated debut album Love Fuelled Hate, mixed by Joe Kearns (Ellie Goulding, One Direction) and mastered by John Davis (Lana Del Rey). She’s been championed by BBC Introducing and Kiss FM, flown high in Music Week Charts and Amazing Radio, as well as glowing praise from the likes of The Guardian, Popjustice, The Independent, Classic Pop Magazine, Q Magazine, Gay Times and The Sun. Since, Elle Exxe has gone on to perform at Isle White Festival and V Festival.
This week, we caught up with Elle Exxe following her live sets in Austin earlier this year.
T: If you could collaborate with any artist who would it be?
EE: Kanye West
T: How successful was SXSW for you and your music?
EE: It was huge. What I loved most was that we started gathering a little entourage of fans who came to every single show, which is crazy when you think of how many shows are on each day/night at SXSW that people would give up their time to spend it with me 4 times in a row.
T: What can we expect next from Elle Exxe?
EE: I’m gonna keep on doing what I do and bring you fresh creations in music, film and fashion. There’s loads in the pipeline and I’m gigging all over the planet at the moment.
T: What do you think of Trackd the app?
EE: Anything that encourages creativity, community and collaboration is something I’m down with and Trackd covers all of the above in a beautiful way.
